The total compensation is under $2 million. Only six cases were actually decided against the vaccine, and Half of those were for syncope. The three non-syncope judgements were:

Notes

Emily Tarsell claimed the death of her daughter Christina (case decided 2016/02, findings of fact) was caused by a length 5 homology between the HPV L1 protein and a human calcium channel protein. This argument was rejected by the special master. According to mctlawyers.com, "These are topics that have not previously played a major role in past decisions involving molecular mimicry. It used to be that establishing sequence homology was sufficient to prevail on a mimicry theory. It has become much more complicated over the past decade to prove a case based on homology alone; homologous sequences must be sufficiently lengthy and there must be an explanation why homology leads to cross-reactivity."
